YouTuber Marwan Serry Joins Ownership Group for British Football Club

Egyptian football fanatic and YouTube sensation Marwan Serry has taken a step into club ownership by joining the leadership group at Dagenham & Redbridge FC, a National League British football team based out of London. With over 2 million subscribers from his show @ezra3ma3serry, Marwan is aiming to connect his global Arabic-speaking fanbase with the heart of the English game. “Football’s how I’ve connected with people my whole life,” he said, calling his new role a chance to build something meaningful.

Joining him is Salma Mashhour, an Arabic storyteller based out of the UK whose vlogs spotlight the drama of British football far beyond the Premier League. Known for championing the lower tiers of English football, Salma has inspired many—including Marwan—with her authentic, grassroots coverage. She’s been appointed as Director of Development & Engagement, and plans to use her platform to share Dagenham & Redbridge’s story while strengthening ties with the local community. “It’s about thinking differently,” she said. “Reaching new fans. With Marwan and Salma on board, the club aims to connect with new fans, particularly in the Arab world, and share the unique story of English lower-league football.
