In a first for the French fashion giant, the lounge will combine luxury shopping and michelin-star dining experiences.

French fashion giant Louis Vuitton is opening its first-ever airport lounge at Qatar’s Hamad International Airport. In a feat previously thought impossible, the Doha airport has somehow become even fancier.

Located just above the label’s store, the Louis Vuitton Lounge invites guests to wait for their flights surrounded by designer homeware pieces, including low tables by India Mahdavi and Costela armchairs by Martin Eisler. Accompanying the lavish interiors of the new Louis Vuitton Lounge is a dining experience designed by chef Yannick Alléno, whose culinary portfolio includes three Michelin star Parisian institution Alléno Paris au Pavillon Ledoyen. Business and first-class passengers will have the chance to feast on a Qatari-inspired menu which celebrates local ingredients.

This isn’t the first time the brand has delved into hospitality; the new airport lounge marks its ninth foray into the culinary arena. The LVMH-owned label has launched a series of pop-up and permanent restaurants and a chocolate shop in Tokyo, and is reportedly planning to transform its Paris HQ into a hotel.

A holistic luxury experience like no other you say? Interesting. Anyone got any air miles they don’t plan on using?
