Noon by Noor’s Latest Collection is Two Cousins’ Tribute to Bahrain
With a palette evoking both its desert and waters, Bahraini label Noon by Noor’s Resort collection is an homage to home.
Established in 2008 by cousins Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa in their homeland of Bahrain, Noon by Noor has long been a go-to for regional and international stylists alike, often seen on stars such as Jennifer Lopez and Solange Knowles. While this internationally acclaimed label from the MENA region has embraced the global sartorial stage for years, their Resort 2025 collection sees the cousins retracing their roots and paying homage to Bahrain.
Shot against the backdrop of Muharraq Island’s fisherman’s pier, Noon by Noor’s latest collection honours Bahrain’s desert landscapes and vibrant coastlines. The collection features impeccably tailored blazers and coats, beach dresses, cocktail dresses, flowing maxi dresses, and two-piece summer sets. Each piece maintains a minimal base infused with the spirit of their homeland.
The collection embraces contemporary cuts and breezy designs perfect for summer, using lightweight fabrics. Yet, woven throughout are subtle echoes of traditional wear, seen in intricate detailing and textile panelling, which add depth and a nod to heritage, particularly in select pieces with a modest aesthetic.
The Al Khalifa cousins aimed to capture the essence of their island surrounded by water, reflecting the Gulf of Bahrain through shades of blue and green fabrics. Chalk whites, greys, and golds echo the colours of the desert further inland, while subtle pinks, reds, and yellows evoke the sunrises and sunsets that grace their homeland daily.
For the editorial shoot, Noon by Noor collaborated with Bahraini photographer Ishaq Madan, creating a picturesque scene on Muharraq Island’s fisherman’s pier. Models posed gracefully atop an artful arrangement of washed-out oriental carpets, juxtaposing traditional charm against the backdrop of sailboats gently bobbing on the Gulf of Bahrain, with the Bahraini skyline subtly peeking through the horizon.
