Global Airports Summit 2027 to Be Hosted in Sharm El Sheikh
Announced during the ACI Africa Conference in Tanzania, this will be the first time Egypt hosts the event.

Egypt has been selected to host the Airports Council International (ACI) World Annual General Assembly (WAGA) in Sharm El Sheikh in 2027. The announcement, made during the 73rd ACI Africa Conference in Tanzania, marks the first time Egypt will welcome the summit.
WAGA 2027 will convene over 1,000 airport executives, policymakers, and innovators from ACI’s five global regions to discuss strategies for operational efficiency, sustainability, and digital transformation. The event includes technical forums, an exhibition of cutting-edge aviation tech, and networking opportunities. Previous editions were held in Marrakesh (2022), Barcelona (2023), and Riyadh (2024), with Toronto set for 2025.
The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, led by CEO Eng. Ayman Fawzy Arab, signed the hosting agreement with ACI World. Egypt’s delegation also participated in key ACI Africa meetings, addressing challenges like climate resilience and passenger experience.
