New Guidelines Issued for Advertising Contests in Egypt
Any product promotion competition must be reported to the Consumer Protection Agency before being advertised.

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation has introduced new guidelines to regulate advertising competitions and ensure consumer protection.
Advertisers are now required to notify the Consumer Protection Agency of competition winners before any public announcement. It is strictly prohibited to promote competitions without verifying their legitimacy and ensuring consumers are not misled. Any competition that promotes a product must be reported to the Consumer Protection Agency before being advertised.
Additionally, all competitions must be conducted under the supervision of the relevant ministry, and advertisers must secure the necessary licenses before making any announcements. The new measures aim to enhance transparency and curb deceptive marketing practices.
