RTA & Etihad Rail Unveil Flyover for Dubai Investment Park Traffic
The 1.8 km flyover is designed to improve traffic flow on Al Yalayis Street and around Dubai Investments Park.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Etihad Rail, has launched a 1.8 km flyover designed to improve traffic flow on Al Yalayis Street and around Dubai Investments Park (DIP).
The new bridge, which is signal-controlled, features three lanes and slip roads and is designed to facilitate smoother access to and from Sheikh Zayed Road.
The flyover is intended to alleviate congestion and enhance road safety, while also providing a designated route for Etihad Rail trains along the street's central median, preventing disruptions to vehicle traffic.
This development forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the UAE's transport infrastructure and highlights the continued collaboration between the RTA and Etihad Rail in working to improve public transport. Their previous joint projects include the Dubai Metro extension and the UAE National Rail Network.
Future plans for the bridge include extending it towards Jumeirah Golf Estates, with provisions for additional lanes to further improve connectivity in the region.
