The new finds include six oil fields, two reservoirs of Arabian light crude, two gas fields, and four natural gas reservoirs.

Saudi Arabia has announced 14 new oil and natural gas discoveries across the Eastern Province and the Empty Quarter desert. The announcement was made by Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, who stated that the discoveries were made by state-owned energy giant Saudi Aramco.
The new finds include six oil fields, two reservoirs of Arabian light crude, two gas fields, and four natural gas reservoirs. These discoveries are strategically spread across key sites including Abqaiq, Ain Dar, and Shaybah, among others in the oil-rich Eastern Province.
The announcement also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader strategic goals under Vision 2030, which seeks to leverage the Kingdom’s energy wealth while expanding its portfolio into renewables and cleaner energy sources. While no production start dates or estimated reserves were disclosed, the discoveries signal Aramco’s continued exploration efforts amid shifting global energy dynamics.
