Nesta Joins French Label Yoyaku with New Release on ‘VWV’ Series
The Lebanese tastemaker treats us to a four-course feast of funky basslines and playful vocal samples.

Lebanese DJ and producer Nesta has stepped into spotlight the seventh release of Yoyaku’s ‘VWV’ series with a cheeky new four-track serving of house.
Based in France, Yoyaku stands a major force in underground electronic music and one of Europe’s leading independent electronic labels and record stores.
The release is a feast of funky basslines and playful vocal samples. The A side shifts between minimal tech-house, imbued with crisp claps and wonky synth pads, to more dream-like, progressive basslines that feel almost euphoric and tailor-made for sunrise sets.
On the flip side, Nesta shifts gears a little with punchier low-end kicks wrapped by atmospheric textures, while the closing track takes a more chilled back, sophisticated tone, with a sparkly piano-like synth accompanied by reverbed looping vocal samples and crisp 909s.
The release marks another notch on the belt of the veteran, who after emerging on the scene in 2006, has come to be one of the region's most celebrated DJ/producers, and a tastemaker on Beirut's vibrant electronic scene.
'VWV 007' is available to purchase now through Yoyaku's official website.
