Palestinian rap icon Shabjdeed has recently unveiled a new single, ‘SA7BI’, a visceral exploration of betrayal, disillusionment, and broken trust.
Co-produced by Berlin-based Bovskey and AbuGlitch, ‘SA7BI’ is a double entendre referring to the betrayal of Palestine by humanity, as well as a scathing indictment of a friendship that has gone sour. Shabjdeed’s repetitive, and raw, refrain of "راح و اجا" (went and came) and the blunt, accusatory tone of "ليش تسوي هيك؟" (why do you do this?) cuts through any pretense, revealing a deep well of anger, hurt and frustration. He delivers relentless bars laced with underlying sarcasm that demonstrates his signature flows over an aggressive trap beat fused with drill undertones.
