Cabinet Confirms Sham El Nessim, Sinai Liberation & Labour Day Holiday
Monday, April 21st; Thursday, April 24th; and Thursday, May 1st will be paid public holidays.

Egypt’s Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly has announced a series of official public holidays this spring to mark key national celebrations.
Monday, April 21st, will be a paid public holiday for employees across government ministries, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, business sector firms, and the private sector in celebration of Sham El Nessim.
Thursday, April 24th, 2025, has also been declared a paid public holiday instead of Friday, April 25th, to commemorate Sinai Liberation Day.
Additionally, Thursday, May 1st, 2025, will be a paid public holiday in honor of Labour Day.
