Cairo International Film Festival Opens Submissions for 46th Edition
CIFF is now accepting entries, with early bird submissions open until May 31.

The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has officially opened submissions for its 46th edition, inviting filmmakers from around the globe to submit their work through the festival’s official website. Submissions are open from April 20th to August 1st, 2025, with early bird entries accepted until May 31st.
Festival President and renowned Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy expressed his excitement for what’s to come, noting the team’s eagerness to showcase films that capture bold artistic visions and celebrate global cultural diversity.
Artistic Director Mohamed Tarek shared that preparations are already in full swing behind the scenes, hinting at the thrill of discovering fresh cinematic voices through the open call, a highlight of the festival’s build-up each year.
CIFF is the Arab world and Africa’s oldest film festival and the region’s only festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).
