Egypt’s annual agricultural exports have risen by 9.3% in 2024, according to data recently published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS). The total exports of Egyptian agricultural goods reached about USD 4.131 billion by the end of 2024, marking an increase of about USD 351.9 million from USD 3.78 billion earned in 2023.
Among agricultural goods, beans recorded the highest year-on-year increase. Egypt exported USD 300 million worth of beans in 2024, up 123% from USD 134.8 million in 2023. Strawberry exports also posted growth, increasing by 6% or around USD 8 million over the same period.
Egypt’s agricultural sector has played a growing role in the country’s broader export strategy, supported by efforts to open new markets and improve supply chain efficiencies. The increase in agricultural exports contributes to Egypt’s overall trade goals, particularly in strengthening foreign currency inflows.
