Saudi Arabia Sees 32% Surge in Tourism Licenses in 2024
Riyadh topped the country in the number of tourism and travel licenses issued, with 955 licenses.

The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has reported a 32% increase in service licenses issued in 2024 compared to the previous year, totalling 2,853 licenses across various regions.
According to preliminary data, Riyadh led the charge with 955 licenses, followed by Makkah Province with 792, the Eastern Province with 472, Al Madinah with 191, and Al Qassim with 116.
Ministry spokesperson Mohamed Al Rasasmah credited the growth to ongoing efforts to streamline licensing and support tourism operators. The initiative falls under the Ministry’s broader strategy to enhance service quality and elevate the visitor experience through its "Our Guests Are a Priority" campaign.
