Saudi Arabia to Participate in 2025 London Design Biennale

Saudi Arabia is set to participate in the 2025 London Design Biennale, taking place at Somerset House from June 5th to 29th, 2025. The Kingdom, represented by the Architecture and Design Commission with the support of the Ministry of Culture, will present a thought-provoking pavilion centered around the theme of ‘Drinkable Water.’

This year’s biennale theme, ‘Surface Reflections,’ invites global participants to explore how personal experiences and external influences shape ideas. Saudi Arabia’s pavilion will delve into the significance of the traditional water dispenser, a symbol of hospitality that is deeply rooted in the Kingdom's culture. These dispensers, which offer free drinking water to passersby, will be reimagined in the exhibit, prompting a deeper reflection on the value and costs associated with this essential resource.

Saudi Arabia’s participation in this year’s edition reflects its growing commitment to using design as a platform for cultural exchange and innovation on the global stage.
