Saudi Places Temporary Limits on Short-Term Visas From 14 Countries
In preparation for the Hajj season, Saudi Arabia has temporarily halted the issuance of some short-term visas for citizens from 14 countries, such as Egypt, Pakistan, and India, starting April 13th.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the implementation of new regulations for the issuance of short-term visas for citizens of 14 countries, including Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, India, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Nigeria, Algeria, Indonesia, Iraq, Sudan, Bangladesh and Libya. This decision, effective from April 13th, 2025, aims to ensure the smooth facilitation of the upcoming Hajj season.
According to a circulated notice from Saudi authorities, the suspension encompasses the issuance of work visit visas (both single and multiple entry), electronic tourist visas, and family visit visas. Individuals holding valid visas, such as work or tourist visas, are permitted to enter the Kingdom until April 12th, 2025.
Saudi authorities have advised citizens from the affected countries to refrain from travelling to the Kingdom after April 13th, even if they possess valid visas, emphasising the importance of adhering to the updated guidelines.
