The Ministry of Local Development announced that it resolved 80% of the 684 citizen complaints submitted in March 2025 through its ‘Your Voice Is Heard’ initiative. The remaining 141 complaints are currently being followed up with relevant authorities. The initiative, which was launched in 2018, aims to strengthen communication between citizens and local administrative bodies by ensuring timely and efficient resolution of grievances. The complaints were submitted through several official channels, including WhatsApp, the initiative’s Facebook page, a dedicated email address, and a hotline operated by the ministry. According to the ministry, the initiative has received over 866,000 messages since its launch, which included nearly 136,000 complaints. Of those, 98.8% have already been resolved, with 1,586 cases still under review in cooperation with governorates across Egypt.
