Sphinx Intl Airport Launches Initiative for Deaf & Mute Passengers
Sphinx International Airport looks to enhance accessibility for travellers with visual and auditory impairments.

Sphinx International Airport has unveiled a new initiative designed to support passengers who are with visual or auditory disabilities, as part of Egypt's broader efforts to promote inclusivity within its transportation infrastructure.
The initiative includes the implementation of specialised services and facilities tailored to the needs of individuals with hearing and visual impairments. These measures aim to facilitate smoother travel experiences and ensure that all passengers can navigate the airport with greater ease and independence.
In addition to this initiative, Sphinx International Airport has been undergoing significant developments to enhance its services and connectivity. In 2024, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities signed a cooperation protocol with the General Authority for Tourism Development to prepare a strategic plan for the area between Sphinx International Airport and the Saqqara Pyramid. This plan aims to enhance the tourism experience and attract investments by incorporating a range of service and entertainment activities in the historically significant area.
