Nadia Ali is Back in Full Command on ‘The Edge’
After 15 years, the Algerian-born American-Pakistani artist doubles down with her second solo single of 2025, ‘The Edge’.

In January 2025, Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Nadia Ali made her solo return after nearly 15 years, stepping back into the spotlight with ‘New Energy’—a soulful deep house track that not only marked her comeback but also her debut as a producer. For fans who grew up on her voice defining the 2000s electronic scene, the release signalled more than a return. It marked a reinvention.
Now, the Algerian-born American-Pakistani artist doubles down with her second solo single of 2025, ‘The Edge’. Written and produced entirely by Ali, the track blends nostalgic deep house textures with a sleek, contemporary finish. The track carries sonic cues from the mid-'00s; think Ahmet Kilic but more refreshing, contemporary, and most importantly, Nadia-coded.
‘The Edge’ follows her surprise appearance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami earlier this month, where she performed live for the first time in a decade. Taking the spotlight with Alesso on the festival’s main stage, Ali revived her iconic 2001 breakout ‘Rapture’—a track that topped charts across Europe, the UK, and the US, and helped shape the global trajectory of progressive and vocal trance, along with Alesso’s remix of ‘Pressure’.
