You’ll Soon Be Able to Check Into Abu Dhabi Hotels With Just Your Face
The new facial recognition system is already rolling out across Abu Dhabi’s hotels, starting with 5-star stays.

Abu Dhabi is making check-ins sleeker and smarter with a new facial recognition system rolling out across its hotels—starting with five-star stays in the city, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
Part of a government-led push to blend security with seamless travel, the tech will let guests verify their identity in seconds—no ID cards, no paperwork, just a quick scan and you’re in. All biometric data is encrypted and handled securely by DCT Abu Dhabi and the ICP, with a focus on guest safety and privacy.
Currently in its pilot phase, the system will expand in stages to include four-star hotels and, eventually, the rest of the hospitality scene.
