Dara’s Ice Cream, the cult-favourite Egyptian dessert brand, has officially opened its doors in Jeddah for the first time at La Paz Plaza.
Founded in Egypt in 2015 by Dara El Kayat, the brand quickly became synonymous with artisanal ice cream, offering fresh-made batches in rotating seasonal flavours. From classic chocolate to bolder blends like lotus swirl and pistachio, each flavour is made from scratch, with no artificial additives or preservatives. The same philosophy carries into the new Jeddah location, where Dara’s is now scooping single cones for SAR 30, complete with decadent toppings like Belgian chocolate drizzle.
The new space mirrors Dara’s signature aesthetic: soft lighting, neutral tones, and a pared-back interior that feels designed as much for the camera as for comfort.
Dara’s expansion reflects the broader evolution of Saudi Arabia’s food and beverage sector, which has seen a surge in both homegrown and regional concepts over the past five years. With local demand for premium, design-forward dessert experiences at an all-time high, Dara’s is entering a ripe market. And with temperatures rising, the timing couldn’t be better.
