Riyadh to Host 7th Princess Nourah Award Honouring Women’s Excellence
The national award recognises outstanding contributions by Saudi women in science, health, the arts, and community development.

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh will host the seventh edition of the Princess Nourah Award for Women’s Excellence this week, with a ceremony held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The event, which will take place at the university’s Conference and Convention Centre, will be attended by Princess Fadha bint Falah Al Hathleen, the King’s wife. The award celebrates outstanding achievements by Saudi women across six categories: natural sciences, health sciences, social initiatives, artistic works, economic projects, and humanities.
This year’s edition received a record-breaking 174 nominations from across the Kingdom, reflecting growing recognition of women’s contributions in a range of sectors. The nomination window opened in October 2024 and included submissions from academics, artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
