Sharmoofers Make a Bold Return with Visual EP ‘UNFOLLOW’

Sharmoofers have never been ones to follow the rules. With their new EP UNFOLLOW, the Cairo-based trio—Ahmed Bahaa, Mohamed El-Arkan, and Farra—continue to push the boundaries of genre. Released in collaboration with Gamma Music, the project is a five-track experience where each song arrives with its own distinct music video.

The EP opens with “Lazy Boy,” a laid-back, vibrant track that blends in playful visuals and captures Sharmoofers’ signature charisma. From there, the mood shifts to something softer with “Enty Ehlawetty,” a romantic, lo-fi pop song that brings warmth and simplicity to the forefront. The tempo picks up again with “Habayeb,” a dance-driven track rooted in Afrobeats, offering a fresh rhythmic pulse.

By the fourth track, “Warda w Oghneya,” the band takes a more emotional turn. Slower in tempo and moodier in tone, the song showcases the band’s range and their ability to play different genres. The EP closes with “Unfollow,” a track that mixes pop with South Asian-inspired beats—a fitting finale that ties the EP together.
